Welcome to the Website of The Epsilon Pi Alumni Association of Grove City College.

The Epsilon Pi Fraternity was established in 1919 on the campus of Grove City College.  As we approach our 100th year anniversary, the active fraternity remains a strong and vibrant campus organization within the Grove City College community.  The mission of the Epsilon Pi Alumni Association (EPAA) is to sustain a dynamic brotherhood and committed to its enduring motto, “Brothers Working For The Good Of All.”  The EPAA seeks to preserve the great traditions of the fraternity, support the active fraternity on campus, and maintain a strong bond with all members of the EP Nation.

Epsilon Pi Wins IF All-Sports Trophy for 2011-2012

EPs Reign As 2012 IF Basketball Champs

This past weekend was Parent’s Weekend at the college and the College Awards Weekend for the school year 2011-2012.  No, we didn’t win the Scholarship Trophy – what a surprise.  Nor did we win Greek Sing either, although they did well enough to at least place, but did not.  The good news—the EPs have once again won the IF All-Sports Trophy.

Here is how they won the IF Trophy. First, they won IF softball (last spring), IF football, IF basketball, and IF volleyball.  The only two sports they didn’t win were bowling and dodge-ball.  As a result, they easily won the All-Sports trophy. Epsilon Pi also won IF softball this spring which is a excellent start for the All-Sports Trophy for next year.  Also, Chris Gibbs was elected IF Council President for 2012-2013.  While an EP did not win the Sportsman of the Year Award, Brad Pietryga ’12 was a semifinalist for the Senior Man of the Year Award.

Congratulations from the EPAA on a job well done.

Joe Diani ’14 and Chris Gibbs ’14
Awarded 2012 EPAA Guthrie Scholarships

Two outstanding EP Juniors, Joe Diani ’14 (L) and Chris Gibbs ’14 (R), have won the 2012 EPAA Dwight Guthrie Scholarship. Five EPs qualified and applied for our scholarship. Each of the five candidates participated in a thirty-minute interview in March and all five were worthy of the scholarship. The competition was very close as it should be with EPs.

Both Joe (West Leechburg, PA) and Chris (Akron, OH) achieved GPAs above 3.5 and are involved in fraternity, as well as campus leadership positions. For example, Chris Gibbs has recently been elected IF President for the 2012-2013 school year. Each year we get better and better candidates for the Guthrie Scholarship and the best way to continue this trend is to contribute to the Guthrie Scholarship. Your contribution cannot be underestimated in assuring both the active fraternity’s success and our success.

Congratulations and continued success to both Joe and Chris for a terrific performance.

A Note From Outgoing EP President Brent Ulreich ’12

Dear EP Nation,

This past semester I was chosen to be a recipient of the Guthrie Alumni Scholarship. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to meet Dr. Guthrie, but from what I am told he was quite the professor, mentor, and man. To receive a scholarship in his name is a great honor and I would like to personally thank you all for your contributions to the scholarship fund. Your generosity not only brings financial support to my family and me, but to those who will follow in my footsteps as well.

The memories and relationships I have created during my time as an EP are ones I will always remember and hold near and dear to my heart. Whether it was hanging out on the hall with my brothers or winning multiple IF sports, I would not trade my experiences for anything in the world. It’s through bonds like these EP nation exists, and I am privileged to say I am a part of it.

I hope you all can see how appreciative I am. Hopefully one day I will be in the position to give towards this scholarship so that others may benefit like I have. Thanks again for you decision to give to a great cause.

BWFTGOA,
Brent Ulreich ’12
